The National Democratic Congress, NDC and the Minority in Parliament have boycotted the swearing in of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo as President of Ghana.
This decision was announced by the Member of Parliament for Asawase and the Minority Chief Whip,Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak.
The NDC’s claim of boycotting today’s event hinges on the fact that they are challenging the legitimacy of President Akufo Addo as the winner of the 2020 Presidential Election.
If you remember, the New Patriotic Party and their then Minority in Parliament in 2013 , boycotted the swearing in of President John Dramani Mahama as President of Ghana for the same reason.
