First Friday of every December on the Ghanaian calendar is almost always declared as a statutory Public Holiday for Ghanaian workers especially Farmers.
This is a day set aside as Farmers Day dedicated to honoring our gallant farmers who put food on the table for every single Ghanaian.
This year, due to new arrangements,Farmers Day was celebrated on Friday, 6th November 2020 across the length and breath of Ghana although the day was not declared a Statutory holiday.
Many people thought that since the day Farmers Day was celebrated in November then definitely it’s original date in December will be a statutory Public holiday.
This evening, the President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has declared in a statement released by his communications director Eugene Arhin on his behalf that Friday, 6th December 2020 is not a Public Holiday.
