Yesterday, two of your most favorite Kumawood stars Kwaku Manu aka Bob Siga and Kwadwo Nkansah aka Lilwin clashed live on Nana Ama Mcbrown’s United Showbiz on UTV.
The two were involved in a heated verbal altercation live on TV when Kwaku Manu sought to explain why he was not part of Lilwin’s upcoming series Cocoa Season.
In an interview with Zionfelix, Lilwin made a bold statement claiming that he extended an invitation to some popular Kumawood movie stars to feature in his yet to be released Cocoa Season series, but these industry players blatantly refused to make an appearance or to be a part of the project. Lilwin in that interview was trying to portray that these people who did not agree to be a part of the project are envious of the fact that he’s the one trying to revive or resurrect the almost strikingly and stinkingly dead Kumawood Industry.
Kwaku Manu in an attempt to explain the reason why he couldn’t make an appearance on Lilwin’s set said to Lilwin that he’s a kid in terms of age and with regards to the Movie industry as a whole, so sometimes he has to calm down and show some level of respect and decorum in dealing with people like him when he needs them for any project. This did not go down well with Lilwin which resulted in a heated debate. Nana Ama Mcbrown was forced to go on a commercial break to calm these two people down before the program resumed.
Vivian Jill Lawrence,Akrobeto, Ellen Kyei White,Bill Asamoah and Mercy Asiedu were the other guests on the show who discussed the Free Fall of the Kumawood Industry and how to revive it.
