
Ghana is still in a state of shock owning to the fact that it woke up on Thursday, November 12, 2020 with news of the demise of the the former president of the Republic of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings.
Many people across the world took to their social media handles to express their shock at the news.
Shatta Wale, one of Ghana’s Dancehall artiste has revealed what inspired him to sing a verse about the late ex-president in his song.
The Dancehall artiste made mention of the fact that the late ex-president was his mentor since he (Shatta Wale) does not tolerate nonsense as well.
In a track titled ““Everybody Like My Thing” released in 2013, the Dancehall artiste sang a verse about the late Papa J, claiming that he was in charge and ruled the music industry, just like the ex-president ruled the country during his term of office.
The late Papa J, as he is popularly known was one of the powerful rulers the continent has ever had.
He ruled with all authority as the military man that he was and had little space for intolerance.
