At long last,the battle has ended,Ghana your beloved country is free forever. This is one of Ghana’s first President Dr Kwame Nkrumah’s famous quote. He said this when Ghana won independence on 6/03/1957.
On 4th September,2020 ,mediaghananews.com has the strongest of conviction that this will be the quote of all 2020 WASSCE students as they finish their West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and heads to their various homes.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) and the Ghana Health Service (GHS) have released a long press statement sparring out the modalities upon which students will go home after their last paper on 4/09/2020. They also used the opportunity to express their profound and sincere gratitude and appreciation to all their staff members and mostly to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his resolve to see the dreams of these kids to materialize even in the face of Covid19.
According to the release,all schools who did not record a Covid19 case,all students are allowed to go home, furthermore,all schools who recorded a case in the beginning but haven’t recorded any case within the last two weeks, students are allowed to go home and lastly all schools who recorded a case within the last two weeks all students are allowed to go home except the Students who came into contact with any of the people who tested positive. The GES and GHS says these students parents have been informed.
