Ghanaian music’s biggest night is here again as the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards ceremony is set to happen live beginning this Friday.
Organizers of the event, Charterhouse has released a lengthy press statement detailing how events are going to unfold.
This years VGMA will be a bit different because of the pandemic that we are all dealing with all over the world.
The event will be in three different schedules, with most of the activities happening online or what has now become very common,a virtual concert.
Adhering to Covid19 protocols, this years event will be ticket free,as a few people will be invited to the auditorium to watch the show live. The majority of us will enjoy the show live on our television sets, through TV3,MTV Base Africa, social media and other digital TV and online platforms.
The industry awards will happen on Friday,28 August 2020, followed by the main event on Saturday,29th August,2020 and the last event, which will happen on Sunday,30th August,2020 will be in support and appreciation of all Covid19 Frontline workers.
Over 30 awards will be given to deserving artistes and a host of A-list musicians have been billed to perform which includes, King Promise,Kuami Eugene, Strongman,Eno Barony,Kofi Kinata,EL,Kidi,Adina, Medikal,Kwesi Arthur, Akwaboah,Efya, Celestine Donkor etc
