Two days ago the Ghana Education Service GES and the West Africa Examination Council, WAEC dismissed and barred 14 students from school and the WASSCE.
A day after that incident, Social Media users, bloggers and online portals had a hunch that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has one way or the other given clemency to these kids and has directed the GES to recall the kids back to school and West African Examination Council WAEC to allow the kids to write the remainder of the exams even though they still remains dismissed.
Immediately the news broke out, the Ghana Education Service released a statement calling online portals fake for circulating such a rumour because the President has not intervened on behalf of the kids.
This afternoon the Director of Communications at the Presidency Mr. Eugene Arhin has released a statement confirming earlier news that broke out that the President has tasked his Minister for Education to engage the GES so that the kids can be recalled back to school to write their examination.
