A 32-year-old Ghanaian man known as Brown has had a one on one interview with TV3’s ace broadcast journalist Portia Gabor about his sexuality. Mr. Brown was uniquely born different from many of us.
He was born with two sexual organs, both the male and female sexual organs. In Science, such a condition is termed or referred to as Haemophrodite.
He narrated his ordeal to the reporter that growing up, his parents used to dress him like a female and named him Akua. Growing up was extremely embarrassing for him as he was almost always mocked by his friends for possessing both the male and female organs.
Brown, however, further narrated that, Medical Examination has revealed that his male sex organ was stronger than his female one,so he changed his name to Brown and started dressing like a man.
He explained that his condition, has prevented him from being able to live a normal life and has never been in any relationship because of fear of stigmatization.
Brown further told TV3 Ghana that a good Samaritan taught him tailoring along the line on which he depends as a means of survival.
Brown again narrated in the conversation with Portia Gabor that a doctor offered to correct his condition for him,but all the four surgeries he’s done has been unsuccessful leaving him with excruciating pains.
After four failed surgeries, he went to the Madanfo Specialist hospital in the Western region where the doctors have promised to correct the earlier surgeries which will cost him GHC30,000,an amount he cannot afford so he is calling on the general Ghanaian populace, Government, Private Companies and NGO’s to come to his aid.
