The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), together with the Ghana Education service (GES), have described the alleged ‘leaked’ WASSCE papers circulating on social media as fake.
In a press release, WAEC stated that; “a scrutiny of the images being shared on social media indicates once again, the activities of certain individuals mainly operators of rogue websites and WhatsApp groups aimed at leading candidates astray and discrediting the Council.”
“The Council is very vigilant and has alerted the BNI, CID and the National Security about the threats posed by these groups. The Council assures all its stakeholders that it has put in place all the necessary measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2020,” WAEC added.
The said papers, as part of the ongoing Weas African Senior School Certificate Examination is expected to be written today, August 3, 2020.
The council has therefore encouraged all students to stay focused, continue with their preparation towards the examination and comply with the Covid-19 safety protocols in order to stay safe during this period.
