The President of the Republic has said that the December elections is an opportunity for the people of Ghana to decide whether to re-elect him after trying him for a four-year term in government.
The President, Nana Akufo-Addo, has today, Monday, August 3, 2020, registered to vote.
President Akufo-Addo registered at the Rock of Ages voter registration center at Kyebi in the Eastern Region.
Speaking to the media in Kyebi on Monday after registering with the First Lady, the President said, “In 2016 I asked the people of Ghana to give me a chance and see my handwork, they gave me the chance so it is now to them to decide how they see the work. I told them to try me, and they have tried me so it behooves on them to decide if it is good or bad. On my part I have done my best”.

The First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, and their kids, also registered at the same polling station. The President after registering urged Ghanaians who haven’t registered yet, to go and register so they can vote on December 7.
“You need to register to participate in choosing the government of your choice. What will be sad is to sit in the house and then other people make a decision for you. So it’s better that everybody who has not registered should come out and be registered.”
The President said he was satisfied with the registration process and the adherence to COVID-19 Protocols. He also visited some some registration centers.
