Remember in March 2020, when the Coronavirus was still raging, many countries which were affected by the Covid-19 were abiding by the safety precaution measures to help reduce the fast spread of the virus.
Leaders of many countries who were also struggling to fight the virus, took immediate measures to help curb the fast spread of the Coronavirus. Many cities across the globe had to undergo either a partial lockdown or a total lockdown. This initiative has affected many lives and businesses physically, emotionally and mentally.
Ghana was no different from the rest of the countries across the globe regarding the fast spread of the Coronavirus.
The head of the nation, president Nana Akuffo-Addo has made several address to the nation with regards to the Covid-19.
In an address to the nation on measures taken by the government to combat the coronavirus pandemic, he announced Free Water and Electricity. He stated that his government will foot the water supply and the water bills of all Ghanaians for the months of April, May and June.
On the 26th of July 2020, the President of Ghana His Excellency Pres. Nana Akuffo-Addo again made his 14th address to the nation on updates on the Coronavirus.
He renewed the Free Water and Electricity Package for another three (3) months I.e. July, August and September.
Here is what the Ghana Water Company Limited ( GWCL) has to say about the President’s Free supply of water for the next three (3) months which is July, August and September.
The Ghana Water Company Limited says the enforcement of the round two (2) of the government’s Free Water supply, set forth in the mid-year budget, will begin this July and end in September.
