Residents of Whindo,a suburb of the Effia Kwesimintim municipal assembly, seems to have had enough of the bad roads in their town,and as such have demonstrated vehemently today.
The demonstrators speaking to the media, explained that,an N.D.C parliamentary candidate in the municipality went to the assembly to seek for permit to construct the road,but the assembly stopped him,with the excuse that,it’s not the duty of a citizen to construct roads.
The demonstrators were adorned in red and black,with others putting on red scarves, signifying how serious they were.
Some students in the area, speaking to the media, revealed that,they are going through a lot,they explained that,they finds it difficult to go to school,since it has become hard to get means of transport to school,due to the bad nature of their roads.
They explained that,they are sick and tired of promise and fail from the assembly,and if the road is not fixed,there will be no vote in their area come december.
